Rear Air Deflector
Question:
Ford wants about $200. Lund makes on for $50 -$70 depending where you buy it. JC Whiteney is cheaper than local stores near me. Call 800 info to get their tel# or search their web site.
Response:
I am about to buy a 97XLT and want to know if this is a worthwhile accessorie to add. It’s advertised as helping keep the rear window clean during rain storms by deflecting the roof air down across the rear window.
Response:
Anyone have any idea how much a new Tinted rear air deflector for a 92 EB? I imagine its an arm and a leg though.. Would appreciate if anyone knew what I should pay for one, got a good size crack in mine. Bob

I paid about $70 for mine a year ago from a Ford dealer.
Response:
I’m contemplating purchase of the Rear Air Deflector on my 1997 Explorer XLT to cut down on the amount of dirt and dust that tends to build up on the read window. My question is whether it really makes a difference? I’d hate to sink the money into it and find that it doesn’t serve the purpose. Thanks in advance. — Stephen J. I have a 93 Explorer and I have a Deflecta Shield on it and I think it does a decent job. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> I’m contemplating purchase of the Rear Air Deflector on my 1997 > Explorer XLT to cut down on the amount of dirt and dust that tends to > build up on the read window.
