99 XLT rear wiper isn't wiping
Question:
1999 Explorer XLT My rear window wiper somehow no longer touches the glass when it is activated. I’ve retracted the arm and the spring snaps it back into place, but the blade appears to be 2-3mm away from the glass. Has anyone had this problem? I’m wondering if this is due to the cold, or excessive salt build-up somewhere in the arm or motor assembly. TIA. — Erik Coleman
Response:
Lift the arm away from the window and put a slight bend in it toward the window. I had to do this with my 98 XLT.
