Question:

I have had my 1999 Explorer in the shop  6 times to have the air bag system repaired. The self test for the air bag fails and the yellow air bag light stays lighted all of the time. I hear that some models that have the new wiring harness to allow for the side airbag option are having this problem. Anyone else having the same experience? I have had it 11 months and it has 21,000 miles on it…….really frustrating!

There is a TSB/recall for defective/corroded air bag connectors.
