Question:

I had a similar problem over a year back.  When in the interval mode, mine would sort of set there own interval; every 3 sec., then every 5, then continuous, etc.  The dealer replaced the motor and it’s been fine since. Damalek ‘97 V8 AWD

joe your concern is caused by a short in your multi function swth contact your dealer and inform them im sure they can help rickh

Sorry if this has been answered – I searched and found posts with the same question, but no answers. My 1999 Explorer randomly turns on the front wipers (every few minutes!) and they also come on when I use my turn signal.  I hate to waste a day at the dealer to diagnose and another day once they get the part, so I thought I would ask here if there is an easy fix to this problem. Thanks for any suggestions, Joe
