Question:

I know it wasn’t one of your choices but, I had an Isuzu Trooper that was great. It had 63k miles on it and was 5 years old when I traded it. It NEVER let me down. I put front brakes and a muffler on it…that’s it. It was the old style but worked well. The new ones are pricey but I have seen some in your price range. My new ‘96 Caravan has been nothing but trouble.  I also like the new Ford Explorer, one guy at work has one and likes it. Many people I work with have Grand Cherekees, and seem to like them. I had a positively awful experience with a GMC Jimmy. Brake failures, fires, electrical problems, 4WD failure, a/c compressor blown, etc. etc. I dumped it after 3 years. Regards,     CANADA                       |

Can any of car maniacs out there help me make a decision? consider followings I live with A LOT OF snow, which  I don’t mind, I drive a lot, I intend to keep next car about 5 yrs I want to spend less than $23000 and finally, I am a ski bum as well as MTBer.                                         HELL..p
